Mitt Romney Polling At 4 Percent In Hypothetical Republican Primary

Could former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney run for president again — and if so, how would he do in the Republican primaries?

It’s unclear if Romney would run again, but if he does he would start well behind former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical campaign, as a new poll from Morning Consult shows. It shows Romney with 4 percent of the vote — well behind Trump, who drew 53 percent.

Trump is far ahead of everyone else in the polls. The man in second place in the hypothetical polls is former vice president Mike Pence, with 12 percent support.

Romney was the Republican nominee in 2012, but he lost to incumbent Barack Obama.
