Mitt Romney To Give Johns Hopkins University Commencement Speech

April 9, 2024

U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) is the commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins University this spring.

The former Massachusetts governor and two-time presidential candidate is scheduled to speak to the graduating Class of 2024 on Thursday, May 23, according to Mid Utah Radio.

A selective private research university in Baltimore, Maryland, Johns Hopkins has a 7 percent acceptance rate, according to U.S. News and World Report. It has about 6,000 students enrolled.

Romney, 77, is retiring from the U.S. Senate in January 2025, after one term. He has gained prominence in recent years for his opposition to former President Donald Trump, whom he is not supporting in the 2024 presidential election.
