New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu Says Send More Troops To The Southern Border

February 14, 2024

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu says he wants to send more New Hampshire National Guard troops to the southern border.

He sent a letter to the state legislature’s Fiscal Committee this week requesting about $850,000 so he can send 15 National Guard troops to Eagle Pass, Texas, for 90 days, according to the New Hampshire Bulletin.

It would be the second time Sununu sent troops to the southern border as governor. In October 2022, he sent about 165 troops there for one year.

Sununu traveled to Eagle Pass, Texas, with 13 other governors earlier this month, the story says.
