New Hampshire Offers Cheapest Average Gas Price In New England

Among any spot in New England, New Hampshire takes the crown for the cheapest average gas price.

In the Granite State, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas is $1.938 per gallon, beating out Maine by less than one cent ($1.943).

After those two states, Vermont and Connecticut are tied at $1.96 per gallon. Then, Rhode Island ($1.976) and Massachusetts ($1.987) are the most expensive, according to AAA.

The most expensive gas in Massachusetts is on Nantucket (as usual), where the average price per gallon is $2.866.

The county with the cheapest gas of all in New England is in Addison County in west central Vermont ($1.859 per gallon).
