New Hampshire Schools Won’t Be Required To Re-Open In-Person This Fall

In New Hampshire, schools will not be required to re-open for in-person classes this upcoming fall.

The state’s Republican Governor Chris Sununu said that each school district will be able to make the decision on its own and will have the opportunity to continue remote classes, if school officials wish.

“We feel very confident that all students can come back to the classroom in a safe, health and productive manner, in a practical way,” Sununu said, according to the Associated Press. “We also appreciate that in some districts, it could be because of staffing, it could be because of public health anxiety — maybe the rate of COVID starts to skyrocket in one town versus another — we want them to have that flexibility.”
