No One At CPAC Wants A President Charlie Baker

The Conservative Political Action Conference wrapped up over the weekend in Orland and released its straw poll results on who the attendees want to be the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nominee.

Massachusetts Republican Governor Charlie Baker was one of many options on the list, but he got zero percent support. That’s even lower than former Ohio Governor John Kasich, who endorsed President Joe Biden in 2020. Kasich got 0.1 percent in the poll, which a Vice reporter tweeted out.

As for who won the CPAC poll, the answer to that is former President Donald Trump. He won it overwhelmingly with 55 percent support.

After Trump? Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was a distant second with 21 percent support.
