No School in Massachusetts Until At Least Monday, May 4

March 25, 2020

Governor Charlie Baker has extended the closure of all public and private schools in Massachusetts until Monday, May 4 because of the coronavirus emergency.

The governor issued a new school-closure executive order Wednesday, March 25. It replaces a previous order closing all public and private schools until Monday, April 6.

“This will allow school districts to provide the best possible opportunities for remote learning to all students and we want to be clear on this … this is not an extended school vacation,” Baker said during a press conference Wednesday, March 25 at the Massachusetts State House, according to State House News Service.
