Planned Parenthood Backs Michelle Wu For Mayor of Boston

October 10, 2021

The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts has made its decision:  it wants at-large city councilor Michelle Wu to be the next mayor of Boston.

The pro-abortion organization announced the endorsement late last week.

“Boston is at a pivotal moment in its future and recovery,” Planned Parenthood’s Action Fund web site said. “Bostonians deserve a mayor who will not only work tirelessly for every community, but one who has a bold vision for a healthier and more equitable city.

“Michelle Wu is a proven champion for Boston families, Planned Parenthood patients, and true reproductive freedom. The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts is proud to endorse Michelle for Mayor of Boston.”

Wu is one of two finalists in the race for mayor of Boston in the November 2021 city election. The other is city councilor Annisa Assaibi George.
