Portland Press Herald Editorial Calls On Trump To Resign

On the day President Donald Trump was scheduled to visit Guilford, Maine, one Maine newspaper put out an editorial calling on him to resign. The editorial is titled “Our View: To President Trump: You should resign now.”

The Portland Press Herald released the editorial critiquing Trump for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic as well as the protests and riots in response to George Floyd’s death.

“You have never been a good president, but today your shortcomings are unleashing historic levels of suffering on the American people,”

The editorial also asked, “Can this country take five more months like the last five?”

Despite the negative article, Trump did not resign from the presidency on Friday.
