Provincetown, Wellfleet Reinstate Indoor Mask Mandates

July 31, 2021

Mask mandates are back in two Cape Cod towns this week.

Both Provincetown and nearby Wellfleet have enacted some form of a mask mandate this week.

Provincetown has the more strict requirements of the two. The town will require masks “for indoor public spaces, restaurants, performance venues, bars and dance floors, fitness centers, retail and personal service shops, offices and other public facilities,” as CBS Boston reports.

Meanwhile, Wellfleet requires masks in public buildings. The town also recommends that people wear masks at indoor businesses.

The city of Cambridge and the town of Nantucket both have mask advisories in place.
