Rand Paul Calls For Republicans To Vote Susan Collins Out

April 12, 2021

U.S. Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) won her state in 2020 and won’t be up for re-election until 2026, if she decides to run again. However, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) is already calling on Republicans to vote her out of office.

During a speech over the weekend, Paul told supporters in Florida that Republicans need to get rid of those who voted against the party’s failed attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act in 2017. Collins, U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who is up for re-election next year, and the late John McCain (R-Arizona) fit that description.

“But here’s the thing:  this is our problem,” Paul said, according to Salon. “We know the Democrats want to have socialized medicine and nationalized health care. But Republicans say they’re for it, we got to keep them honest. And you got to send home the ones that lie to you.”
