Red Sox Regular Season Slated To Start Friday, July 24

July 17, 2020

One week from this Friday, the Boston Red Sox plan to open up their 2020 schedule.

The Red Sox are set to face the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, July 24 at Fenway Park (7:30 p.m. start time) to kick off their planned 60-game regular season schedule. The length of the season was significantly reduced because of the coronavirus emergency.

Fans will not be allowed to attend their games, at least for the time being. It’s possible that fans will be allowed to go to games at Fenway later in the season, but it would likely be in a limited capacity.

The television broadcast team — Dave O’Brien, Jerry Remy, and Dennis Eckersley — will call the games remotely from New England Sports Network’s Watertown studio, according to NESN.
