Richard Neal, Alex Morse Set To Debate In Two Weeks

U.S. Representative Richard Neal (D-Springfield) and Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse are set to have at least one debate later this month.

The two Democrats are running to earn their party’s nomination in Massachusetts’s First Congressional District, which covers western Massachusetts.

Their first debate is scheduled for Monday, August 17, as The Greenfield Recorder reports. It is set to air on New England Public Media WGBY-TV Channel 13 in Springfield.

Additionally, WWLP-TV Channel 22 News in Chicopee is working on setting up another debate between the two candidates before the September 1 primary.

Neal serves as the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Morse has been Holyoke’s mayor since 2012.
