The Massachusetts House of Representatives voted in favor of a bill that sought to increase the state's gasoline tax and tax ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. The vote was 113 Yea, 40 Nay, 4 Not Voting.
All Yea votes came from Democrats. All Republicans voted Nay, as did eight Democrats and one unenrolled member (which means not a member of a political party). Four Democrats did not vote.

The problem, according to Perez: they're too white.
