Ron DeSantis Leads Donald Trump In Hypothetical New Hampshire Presidential Primary

If Florida Governor Ron DeSantis were to run for president, he would have an edge over former President Donald Trump in the New Hampshire Republican primary.

DeSantis leads Trump 42 percent to 30 percent in a hypothetical primary among likely New Hampshire primary voters, according to a recently-released University of New Hampshire poll.

No one else was polling above 10 percent in this poll.

So far, Trump is the only major candidate to announce he is seeking the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nomination. 

No Republican presidential candidate has won New Hampshire in the general election since George W. Bush did in 2000.
