Rutland, Vermont Implements Targeted Mask Mandate With Exceptions

September 21, 2021

If you’re a city employee in Rutland, Vermont, then you will have to wear a mask while working.

The city will provide an exemption for those who notify the head of their respective department and provide proof of a coronavirus vaccination.

“At the request of the unions and most of the department personnel, it was decided, yes,” Rutland mayor David Allaire said on Monday night of the mask requirement, according to US News and World Report.

The city does not have a vaccination mandate in place for its employees, nor has it been discussed.
