Six Flags New England Delays Season’s Start Because of Coronavirus Emergency

Six Flags New England’s season will be shorter than usual this year.

Communications manager Jennifer McGrath announced the news on Monday morning.

“Six Flags New England has temporarily suspended operations and will open in mid-May, or as soon as possible thereafter. While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at the property, the safety of our guests and team members, is always our highest priority. We will continue to closely monitor this evolving situation, and follow the most current guidance from federal, state, and local officials,” the written statement of Monday, March 30 states.

According to the statement, those with prepaid tickets will be able to transfer those tickets to another date in the 2020 season. And 2020 Season Pass Holders will receive an extension into the 2021 season for any days lost this year.

The park’s web site says it is scheduled to open on Sunday, May 17.
