Steve Bannon’s Arrest Happened In Connecticut

When Steve Bannon got arrested on Thursday, he was in Connecticut.

The former White House strategist was on a 150-foot yacht near Westbrook, Connecticut; the boat was intercepted by the U.S. Coast Guard and eventually boarded by U.S. Postal Service inspectors, who arrested Bannon.

Bannon is among a group of people who, prosecutors say, committed fraud on a project called “We Build The Wall” by pocketing cash from a crowdfunding effort that was supposed to pay for building part of the U.S.-Mexico border wall, as Fox News reports.

The group raised $25 million out of an initial fund-raising goal of $1 billion.
