Taunton State Senator May Run For State Auditor

June 9, 2021

Massachusetts state Senator Marc Pacheco (D-Taunton) might end up running for state auditor.

The veteran member of the state Legislature has been considering the possibility, as WBSM reports.

Pacheco has been a member of the Massachusetts Legislature since being elected to the House in 1988. He got elected to the Senate in 1992.

This would not be the first time that Pacheco sought a higher office. He unsuccessfully sought his party’s nomination in the Ninth Congressional District in a 2001 special election triggered by the death of Joe Moakley. A fellow state senator, Stephen Lynch (D-South Boston) won that primary. Lynch still has that seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

New to NewBostonPost?  Conservative media is hard to find in Massachusetts.  But you’ve found it.  Now dip your toe in the water for two bucks — $2 for two months.  And join the real revolution.
