The Squad Is Coming To Somerville This Weekend

“The Squad” is scheduled to make an appearance in Massachusetts this weekend.

They are expected at an event at Somerville Theatre on Saturday, September 24 called “An Evening with the Squad.”

It features U.S. Representatives Ayanna Pressley (D-Hyde Park), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota), Rashida Tlaib (D-Michigan), and Cori Bush (D-Missouri). The Squad is a group of minority progressive women in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Join Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley, Cori Bush, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib for an evening of performances and conversation, moderated by Dr. Ibram X. Kendi,” the event description says.

The 900-seat venue is sold out for the event, according to the theatre’s web site.
