Tom Brady Tried To Recruit Julian Edelman To Play In Tampa Bay

Julian Edelman spent 12 seasons with the New England Patriots, but will he ever play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Edelman recently said that his former teammate, quarterback Tom Brady, tried to recruit him to play for the Bucs during the 2020 offseason — as Brady did with tight end Rob Gronkowski.

With Edelman, however, it didn’t work.

“He hit me up the first day he signed there. He was  like, ‘You wanna come down?’ ” Edelman said during the Monday night football broadcast with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning on Monday, November 22. “And I was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ ”

Edelman, 35, says he does not have interest in making a comeback to the National Football League.

Edelman helped the Patriots win three Super Bowls during his career.
