Trump Campaign Ads Expected To Air During Red Sox Broadcasts This September

If you watch the Boston Red Sox this season, prepare for ads for President Donald Trump’s re-election.

The Trump campaign has reportedly purchased September ads for Red Sox games, according to Medium Buying. Red Sox games tend to air on NESN for television and WEEI and its offshoots for radio. The broadcasts are available throughout New England.

It’s unclear if these ads will air in all six states, but there are two locations that appear more likely than others:  New Hampshire and Maine. Trump lost New Hampshire by fewer than 3,000 votes in 2016, and earned one electoral vote in Maine by winning its Second Congressional District in the northern part of the state.

The Red Sox 2020 regular season, delayed by the coronavirus emergency, is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 24.
