Vermont Could Soon Resume Indoor Dining

June 4, 2020

Indoor dining could soon be back in Vermont.

The state’s governor, Phil Scott, a Republican,  announced he will have an announcement to make regarding the matter later this week, according to New England Cable News.

“When we get to indoor dining it will be a very controlled opening at first with a focus on physical distance,” Scott said at a recent press conference. “We still have a very long way to go to help our restaurants get back on their feet but we’ve got to start somewhere and that’s what we’re going to announce Friday.”

Scott’s administration also plans to put forth rules that would allow people from out of state to dine in at restaurants without having to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Announcements are expected to take place Friday, June 5.
