Vermont Has First Coronavirus Death In 43 Days

It had been 43 days since the last coronavirus death in Vermont before a person died of it on Thursday, July 30, authorities said.

Details of the death are not known to the public, but it increases the Green Mountain State’s death toll to 57 overall in the pandemic.

“We have been uniquely fortunate to have been spared such a loss for many weeks,” said Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine in a written statement, according to Boston.com.

Vermont also had a new confirmed case of the virus on Thursday. 

Vermont has had the fewest coronavirus deaths out of any New England state.
