Vermont voters want their state's liberal Republican governor and democratic socialist federal senator to seek re-election this year.
Fifty-eight percent of Vermonters want Governor Phil Scott to seek a fifth two-year term, while just 30 percent don't; 12 percent are undecided, according to a University of New Hampshire poll released this week. Similarly, 54 percent want U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) to seek a fourth six-year term; 40 percent don't want him to run again and 6 percent are undecided.
Six years since Massachusetts opened the first legal recreational marijuana stores on the East Coast, residents are still by and large pleased with cannabis legalization. But they aren't taking a lax stance on regulations.
