Walmart Pharmacies Offering Walk-In COVID-19 Vaccines In Massachusetts

May 5, 2021

Walk-in appointments for coronavirus vaccines are now a thing in Massachusetts.

As of the start of this week, Walmart is using its 48 pharmacies in the state to offer them, as CBS Boston reports.

“All Walmart pharmacy locations across Massachusetts are now accepting walk-in vaccine appointments, as supply allows, in addition to scheduled appointments,” Walmart said in a statement, according to CBS Boston. “Customers who schedule an appointment can complete pre-vaccination paperwork ahead of time, if interested.”

This comes as the state plans to close some of its mass vaccination sites next month including:  Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Gillette Stadium, the Doubletree Hotel in Danvers and the Natick Mall.

About four million people in the state have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
