Democratic Lieutenant Governor Candidates Think Charlie Baker Is Doing A Decent Job

August 17, 2022

How would you grade Governor Charlie Baker’s performance over these past seven-plus years?

The three Democrats running for lieutenant governor think he’s doing at least a decent job in the corner office.

During a debate hosted by WBUR on Tuesday, August 16, Salem mayor Kim Driscoll, state Senator Eric Lesser (D-Longmeadow), and state Representative Tami Gouveia (D-Acton) revealed how they feel about the governor. All gave him at least a passing grade.

Driscoll gave him a B, the highest grade of the three. Lesser was slightly less impressed, giving Baker a B-minus. And Gouveia gave Baker the lowest mark of the trio:  a C.

The Democratic primary for lieutenant governor will take place on Tuesday, September 6.
