Peabody Historical Society Wants Salem Witch Trials Victim House

The 1638 home of Salem Witch Trials victim John Proctor in Peabody is for sale, and the local historical society it hoping to buy it.

Proctor was one of the few men hanged for witchcraft. He was later used by playwright Arthur Miller in his play The Crucible.

The house, at 348 Lowell Street in Peabody, has 3,910 square feet, six bedrooms and two bathrooms. It lists for $600,000, according to the Salem News.
