City of Weed: Brockton To Have Eight Pot Shops, Once Moratorium Ends

The Brockton City Council hasn’t ended the city’s moratorium on recreational marijuana stores, but Brockton’s mayor can’t wait.

He has already signed 10 so-called “community host” agreements, even though the city can only have eight stores, according to the Brockton Enterprise.

Mayor Bill Carpenter is figuring two of the grantees will fail before getting final permission from the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.
