Cape Official Asks If Homosexual Politicians Are ‘Too Self-Absorbed and Self-Centered’ To Represent All Constituents
February 20, 2019
Ron Beaty, a Barnstable County commissioner, asked a rhetorical question on Twitter that has offended several public officials, including one fellow Republican who called on him to resign:
Generally speaking, are gay politicians too self-absorbed and self-centered to adequately represent ALL of their constituents in a fair and equitable manner?

The Cape Cod Times, which reported the tweet Tuesday night, contacted six politicians (including Republicans and Democrats) and the chairmen of the state Republican Party and state Democratic Party, all of whom condemned it.
Cape Cod has two openly homosexual legislators, state Senator Julian Cyr (D-Provincetown) and state Representative Sarah Peake (D-Provincetown), both of whom expressed disgust with the tweet. Beaty left a voice mail message for The Cape Cod Times saying he wasn’t referring to them or to anyone in particular, but that he “had people make some statements to me in recent weeks, so I thought I’d look for other people’s opinions on the matter.”
Beaty criticized Cyr and Peake in a separate tweet Tuesday, February 19 on Cape shark policy, which Beaty thinks should be more aggressive in protecting people:
Because they are doing nothing substantive to address the menacing Great White Shark and seal overpopulation problems on #CapeCod State Rep. Sarah Peake and State Senator Julian Cyr will have blood on their hands when more people are horrifically maimed and needlessly massacred!

He is no stranger to controversy, as these recent tweets show:
In my humble opinion, the Democratic Party does NOT produce leaders, it spawns deviant hate-filled persons who need to find their way back to God before their souls are condemned to hell for all of eternity! Agree?
