Vermont State Trooper Uses 3D Printer To Create Face Shields

One Vermont state trooper found a creative way to create more face shields for medical staff amid the coronavirus pandemic. Using his 3D printer, Robert Zink, a Vermont State Police detective, created 60 face shields for staff members at Bennington Health and Rehab center, according to FOX News.

Zink did so when he found out the center had a shortage and staff members who could not find the proper equipment for themselves. Zink used plastic sheets donated by Staples and turned them into face shields.

“This is just one of many examples of how the Vermont communities come together in this time of need,” the Vermont State Police said in a statement, according to FOX News.

Vermont is one of 42 states in the country with a stay-at-home order enacted by its governor.
