Vermont Bakers Against Racism Bake Sale This Weekend

Vermont bakers geared up during the past few days for what they are calling the Bakers Against Racism Bake Sale.

According to Seven Days, the event “is raising money for organizations working to end systemic and structural racism.” The bake sale Saturday, June 20 offered an array of baked goods and pastries for customers to purchase.

Some bakeries in the state donated boxes of baked goods to the event to be sold and have their proceeds donated. Those who purchase the boxes can then be picked up curbside. 

One organizer of the event told Seven Days that the goal is to raise at least $1,000.
