March 25, 2019

Former Massachusetts governor William F. Weld said he expects to make it official in April that he’ll challenge President Donald Trump in the 2020 Republican primaries.

“I doubt there would be anything to prevent me doing this. I’m feeling more comfortable with this all the time,” Weld told SeacoastOnline.com on Monday, March 25.

Weld told Seacoast Online that he “wasn’t really counting on the president getting caught in the soup for having said ‘I hope the Russians find more emails’ during the heat of the campaign. That never grabbed me as an indictable or impeachable offense frankly.”
