Charlie Baker’s Approval Rating Lowest Among Republicans

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is popular in the state, according to a recent approval rating poll released by MassInc.  However, that approval rating varies depending on party affiliation.

Baker had a 68 percent approval rating overall with 23 percent disapproving of him. That approval rating was highest among Democrats and Democratic-leaners; 81 percent of them had a favorable opinion of him while 13 percent did not.

Then 58 percent of independents and third party leaners also had a positive opinion of him; 27 percent had a negative opinion.

Meanwhile, the rating was worst of all among Republicans and Republican-leaners; 54 percent had a favorable view of him while that feeling was unfavorable for 40 percent of them.
