Connecticut To Roll Out Legal Online Sports Betting This Week

October 11, 2021

More forms of gambling will soon be legal in Connecticut.

The state will begin its soft launch of legalized online sports betting on Tuesday, according to NBC Connecticut. The full launch will take place next week. The soft launch will limit gambling to 750 people, and for the first three days of the program, they will only be allowed to bet at certain times of day.

Sports betting is already taking place in the state at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun; that began last week. Those are the only two places in the state where it’s allowed thus far.

Sports betting is not currently legal in Massachusetts, although some state officials want to see it come to the state.
