Man Hides Ukulele in Shorts, Runs Out of Store

Police in Manchester, New Hampshire are looking for a man who they say stuffed a ukulele down his shorts and then ran out the store without paying for it.

Police posted grainy surveillance camera photos on Sunday, July 28 of the man on the department’s Facebook page. A slight bulge appears in the photo, which was taken from above.

A written statement from police does not offer a sale price for the Kamaka Vintage Ukulele. But several are listed on eBay currently, running from about $500 to about $1,500.

The theft occurred at Guitar Center on South Willow Street in Manchester on Friday, July 19, police said.
