March 18, 2024

Vice President Scott Brown?

It was a possibility that independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. considered.

Kennedy asked the former United States senator and state senator from Massachusetts about being his running mate, according to various news reports.

However, the Republican passed on the opportunity.

“It’s true,” Brown told New Hampshire Journal. “I respectfully declined and wished him well.”

Kennedy plans to announce his running mate on Tuesday, March 26 in Oakland, California, according to NH Journal.

Other names that have appeared on the shortlist for RFK Jr. running mates include:  New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, and former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura, among others.
