Stephen Lynch Not Interested In Being Postmaster General

March 7, 2024

U.S. Representative Stephen Lynch (D-South Boston) isn’t interested in taking another job.

Instead, Lynch, who represents the Eighth Congressional District of Massachusetts, says he is running for re-election.

“No, no, no, no, no. No. I’ve got a good job right now and I’m really 100 percent focused on that. I’m running for re-election, and there’s just so much that needs to be done,” Lynch told Politico.

Lynch gave this response when asked if he was interested in ever being the federal Postmaster General, though Louis DeJoy continues to serve in that position and has not talked about resigning.

Lynch also said that, if re-elected, he will serve a full two-year term.

New to NewBostonPost? Conservative media is hard to find in Massachusetts. But you’ve found it. Now dip your toe in the water for two bucks — $2 for two months. And join the real revolution.
