Vermont Schools To Have Delayed Start This Year

School will start at least two weeks later than usual in Vermont this year.
Governor Phil Scott plans to sign an executive order later this week stating that schools will not be going back to school until at least Tuesday, September 8, providing school districts extra time to make the proper arrangements amid the coronavirus pandemic, as WCAX-TV Channel 3 in Burlington, Vermont reports.
“We want schools to take the time to get this right so students can hit the ground running,” he said.
Schools in the state are expected to use a mix of in-person and remote learning. The extent to which is used will vary depending on the school district.
