Boston Marathon Set For Monday, April 17 — ‘Nonbinary’ Category Makes First Appearance

April 13, 2023

The Boston Marathon is set to take place this upcoming Monday, April 17.

The 26.2-mile race begins in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, and concludes on Boylston Street in Boston.

The first group of runners will take off at 9:37 a.m., according to Boston.com.

Last year, there were 28,580 runners in the Marathon, according to the Boston Athletic Association.

This year marks the first year where there will be three gender categories in the marathon:  male, female, and nonbinary, as NewBostonPost previously reported. Nonbinary is an umbrella term that describes someone who identifies as something other than male or female.

New to NewBostonPost?  Conservative media is hard to find in Massachusetts.  But you’ve found it.  Now dip your toe in the water for two bucks — $2 for two months.  And join the real revolution.
