CIA Director Cancels Appearance at Harvard Over Appointment of Transgender Military Leaker

Mike Pompeo, director of the Central Intelligence Agency, was scheduled to speak at the Institute of Politics at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. But then the IOP announced the appointment as a visiting fellow of Chelsea Manning, a former U.S. Army soldier who leaked military documents to Wikileaks, was sentenced to 35 years in prison, and had his sentenced commuted by Barack Obama shortly before his term as president ended.
