Couple Gets Married in a Cemetery

A couple who got engaged in October 2019 but later found they couldn’t have the wedding they planned because of coronavirus opted for a simpler venue this week.

They got married in a cemetery.

The town clerk (who is also a justice of the peace) performed the ceremony Friday, July 31 at Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough, Massachusetts, where the groom’s grandparents are buried, according to the Worcester Telegram.

The bride brought the urns bearing the ashes of her parents and put them on the ground nearby.
