Ed Markey Calls Pro-Life Bill ‘Misogyny’

U.S. Senator Ed Markey (D-Malden) made his thoughts clear on Tuesday:  if you support a 15-week gestational limit on abortion, you hate women.

The veteran member of Congress expressed his disdain for the idea that the United States should ban abortion after 15 weeks nationwide.

“A 15-week abortion ban is a 50-state abortion ban,” Markey tweeted. “This is forced pregnancy. It’s no secret — a national ban will be Republican’s first goal if they win the House and Senate. Election Day, we’ve got to elect leaders who support Roe v Wade and stop this misogyny.”

Markey’s tweet came after U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) floated the idea of outlawing abortion after 15 weeks.
