Glenn Youngkin Campaigns For Paul LePage In Maine

September 13, 2022

The governor of Virginia made a trip up to New England last week.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, a Republican, traveled to Maine on Wednesday, September 7 to campaign with former Maine governor Paul LePage, who is seeking a third (though nonconsecutive) term in his old post.

Youngkin and LePage did an event together in Lewiston, Maine that was closed to the press, according to the Virginia Mercury.

LePage is running against incumbent Democratic governor Janet Mills, who is seeking a second term. Maine law prevents people from running for three consecutive terms as governor. However, they can run for more than two terms if the terms are not consecutive.
