Key Legislative Committee Not Acting on Bump-Fire Stocks Ban

Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy criticized the Public Safety and Security Committee of the Connecticut Legislature for not acting on a bill to ban bump-fire stocks in Connecticut.

Malloy, a Democrat, noted that Massachusetts and several other states banned the device after the Las Vegas mass-shooting October 1.

But the public safety committee hasn’t voted on the bill and doesn’t have it on its agenda before the deadline Tuesday, March 20, according to the Connecticut Post.
