December 21, 2023

The chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party joined seven GOP state representatives and a former state party chairman in delivering a copy of a filing to make sure Nikki Haley makes the March 2024 presidential primary ballot in Massachusetts.

Amy Carnevale, state party chairman, and the other Republicans delivered the filing Thursday, December 21 to the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s office, according to State House News Service.

The seven Republican state representatives are Hannah Kane of Shrewsbury (who co-chairs Massachusetts Women for Nikki), Kim Ferguson of Holden, Paul Frost of Auburn, Matt Muratore of Plymouth, Mike Soter of Bellingham, David Vieira of Falmouth, and Joe McKenna of Webster.

Jennifer Nassour, a former state party chairman who co-chairs Massachusetts Women for Nikki, also attended. She called Haley “brilliant, experienced, politically savvy, but also compassionate in a way that I haven’t seen any candidate in national office,” according to State House News Service.

Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is currently in second place in the polls of Republican candidates for president, but well behind former President Donald Trump.
