Suzanne Bump Endorses Fellow Democrat Diana DiZoglio For Massachusetts State Auditor

September 23, 2022

Massachusetts auditor Suzanne Bump knows who she wants to be her successor:  state Senator Diana DiZoglio (D-Methuen).

Bump endorsed DiZoglio’s bid for auditor on Thursday.

“It is essential that the next state auditor have firsthand knowledge of how government works,” Bump told Politico, in a story published Thursday, September 22. “Senator DiZoglio’s 10 years of legislative experience shaping policy and budgets, wrestling with the bureaucracy and advocating for greater access and transparency mean she will be ready to take the reins.”

DiZoglio is running for the post against Republican nominee Anthony Amore, who ran for Secretary of the Commonwealth in 2018.

Bump has served as the state auditor since 2011; she chose not to seek re-election this year.
