When the Washington Post published a profile of Karen Pence, the story emphasized Mike Pence’s rules of engagement when it comes to his marriage, which he established when he entered politics. Namely, he does not go out to dinner alone with women other than his wife, and he does not attend events with alcohol without his wife accompanying him. A wise move in profession rife with infidelity? Maybe so, but not for Colbert. Despite his faith, which he loves to trot out, Colbert chose not to praise Pence for his commitment to his marriage, and instead decided to enumerate the many perverse sexual habits our Vice President must suffer from if he goes to such extremes.
